  Hey Rogueeve, Cam timing is set with both valves closed, piston at TDC & the "O" on the cam plate aligned with the notch on the cylinder head. The problem is that the points do not start to open when the marks are aligned at the juncture of the points plate & the rotating assembly. Timing
